Oakland, CA – based artist, Hae Yuon Kim paints images that are layered, gestural, and mysterious. Working intuitively, she paints from her imagination, informed by visual experiences. Her process involves additive and subtractive mark-making, responding to what is happening on the surface and what seems to be called for.
